Spiritual Development

Sunday, October 5, is World Communion Sunday.  So this week, we not only celebrate the Lord’s Supper, we also celebrate in communion with people all over the world.  We celebrate the knowledge that Jesus represents God’s love for all people and not for select religions or nations or denominations.  We are also challenged to live as Jesus lived: welcoming all, offering ourselves and our gifts for a world that hungers for the bread of life, and living into the kingdom of God.

As we approach World Communion Sunday, take time in your own spiritual journey to consider:

  1. What do you most hunger for in your relationship with God?
  2. What do the people in your community hunger for?
  3. How is Jesus, the Bread of Heaven, at work in your life and how is he calling you to nourish others?
